London Underground Shoes
London is my favorite city in the world. First time I went there after graduating from high school and for Last 20 years I try to visit at least every two years. Unfortunately, the exchange rate between U.S. dollar and British pound has made visiting nowadays a little more expensive than it was, but there are still a lot of free stuff to do in London. Here is a list of some of my favorites.
London Museum Hopping
The most major London museums are free to visit. So each of my trips to London, I visit my partner and spend a few hours to wander through the galleries and exhibitions. Some of my favorites are the National Portrait Gallery, right on the edge of Trafalgar Square, the Victoria & Albert (V & A), South Kensington, the Tate Modern on Bankside near London Bridge.
Window shopping and street markets
It So many cool shops in London, I want to stay away from supermarkets. It's more fun to putter in different shops not equal to those at home. My favorite place to go window shopping is Covent Garden and the streets that run off of it. Usually duck in the yard Neal Neal's Street, just blocks from Covent Garden, to treat a small cheese myslf Nice in Neals Yard Dairy. Sorry, cheese is free!
Other favorite sites are tinkering Kings Road (starting near Sloane Square), and Carnaby Street. Some streets in Soho also have interesting shops and if you like books, Charing Cross Road and the street Then stretch are fun to drive.
Also, make sure you review the main markets of the most popular street in London. My favorite is the Portobello Road in Notting Hill for lots of cool hand goods second and flea found. There is a market here six days a week! Sunday is the only day no market.
So it's Sunday, they can always go Camden Market. This is the best day to go there anyway. Leaving the station in Camden, north, but have no problem to fail, because the place is stormed with people.
People watching
No matter what time of year, London is always crowded. There are certain places in the big city to spend a few hours of immersion in the flavor of the place. Piccadilly Square and Trafalgar Square are The most obvious, but also like Covent Garden because it tends to be a bit quieter and they usually have street performers too.
If you're lost in a Sunday and not in the mood for Camden Market, why not for the President at Hyde Park Corner and see who is determined to give a speech. Watch the audience gathering as much fun to see some of the most entertaining speakers.
Luckily, I contributed with some ideas of some different things that you can Libre London. The city is a vibrant and changing place for me to walk in the direction I want to turn led to a new and exciting to discover. You only need one pair of comfortable shoes and maybe a pass for the subway.
